Pupil Premium
Schools receive funding called the Pupil Premium for students whose families meet certain financial criteria, such as eligibility for free school meals. To see if your child is eligible for free school meals, please visit our free school meals page.
Each year, schools who receive the Pupil Premium report on the way they have used their funding, and how they plan to use their funding over the next few years.
In line with the evidence from research and with government guidance about getting maximum impact from the funding, the Pupil Premium at Fortis academy is deployed in three main areas:
- High-quality teaching
- Targeted academic support
- Wider strategies to address non-academic barriers to success in school
