School Day 2023-2024
The school day at Fortis is staggered to allow for a safe exit for students and the public along Aldridge Road.
In the morning, students are welcome to arrive after 08:00 should they wish, and go to the library to study or read for pleasure. All students are asked to be at school by 08:45 daily so that they can get to lessons for a prompt start. The school day is the same length every day.
Students in Foundation Academy are required in school for 6 hours and 20 minutes a day, totalling 31 hours and 40 minutes a week.
Students in Senior Academy and the Sixth Form are required in school for 6 hours and 25 minutes a day, totalling 32 hours and 5 minutes a week.
